Terms of Use
Effective 10 September 2026. These are the terms for gardenflouer.com, run by Christopher Robert Fox (GardenFlouer), based in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. By reading the articles, running the browser tools, or following any guide here, you are agreeing to what is on this page.
The short version, because nobody deserves to hunt for it. The writing and the tools are mine and you are welcome to quote them with credit. The glitches are real, they are documented honestly, and they can wreck your save file if you do them wrong, which is on you and not on me. This site is not affiliated with Nintendo in any way. Be decent, and we are all good.
The content is provided as is
Everything on this site is provided "as is" and "as available," with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. That includes any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
I try very hard to be right. Values get checked against the actual ROM, procedures get tested more times than is reasonable, and when I find out I was wrong I fix the page. But this is one person doing research on a 30-year-old game, and I cannot promise that every hex value, every step order, and every emulator quirk is correct for your exact cartridge, revision, or emulator build. Nothing here is professional advice of any kind. Use your own judgment.
Glitch guides, your save file, and your own risk
This part matters more than the rest, so read it slowly. The glitch documentation on this site is technical writing about how a 1996 video game behaves when you push it past what its programmers expected. It describes deliberate exploitation of memory corruption. That is the whole point of it.
If you follow any procedure documented here, you do so entirely at your own risk. These techniques can and do corrupt save data. They can soft-lock a game, garble the Hall of Fame, scramble items, brick a save file that has been alive since you were nine years old, and in some cases they can affect the cartridge's save memory in ways that do not undo. Some of them are one-way doors. The articles say so where it is true, in bold, up front, but the warning only works if you heed it.
BACK UP YOUR SAVE FIRST. Use an emulator save state, or dump the save file off the cartridge, or run the glitch on a throwaway file rather than the one that matters. The right move on a real cartridge you care about is: do not.
To be explicit about liability, I am not responsible or liable for lost, corrupted, or unrecoverable save data, for damage to any cartridge, console, emulator, computer, or phone, or for any other direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising out of following anything on this site. You choose to run the glitch. I just write down what it does.
What is mine
All original material on this site is copyright © 2026 Christopher Robert Fox, all rights reserved. That covers:
- the writing, the research, the explanations, and the page structure;
- the code behind the browser tools, the battle simulator, the Lab, and the site itself;
- the sprite renderings, tables, maps, charts, and data presentations produced by my own ROM analysis and decoding work;
- the GardenFlouer name, logo, and visual identity.
Decoded, organized, and presented research is original work even when the raw bytes underneath came out of somebody else's game, in the same way that a transcript of a bird call is not the bird. The arrangement, the analysis, and the words around it are what is protected here.
Pokemon, Nintendo, and the unofficial part
Pokemon and all related names, characters, sprites, and terms are trademarks of Nintendo, Creatures Inc. and GAME FREAK inc. Those trademarks and any underlying copyrighted game content belong to their respective owners, and nothing on this site claims otherwise.
This site is unofficial. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or approved by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc., The Pokemon Company, or any of their affiliates. Those names are used here purely for identification, commentary, criticism, and scholarship about the games, which is what this whole library is: a documentation project about how a specific set of cartridges behaves.
For the record, and I mean this sincerely: I love these games. I have loved them since childhood, this entire site exists because of them, and I have no interest in doing anything that harms them or the people who made them. If a rights holder ever has a concern with something published here, email me and I will listen and act quickly.
No ROMs, no game files, nothing to download
This site does not distribute game ROMs, save files, ripped game assets, emulators, or any copyrighted game data, and it never will. There is no download link here and there is no "where do I get the game" answer coming, so please do not ask.
The browser tools are recreations, written from scratch based on documented behavior and my own analysis of how the original systems worked. They reimplement mechanics; they do not ship the original code or data. If you want to play the games, buy them legally, on the original hardware or through an official release.
Quoting, linking, and please do not scrape me
Yes to quoting. Take a passage, take a value, take a table row, and use it in your video, your article, your wiki edit, or your forum post. All I ask is attribution to GardenFlouer with a link back to the page you took it from. That is the entire fee.
Linking is always welcome, no permission needed, and I would rather you link than mirror so the corrections reach your readers too.
No to wholesale republishing. Do not copy entire articles onto another site, do not repost the tools as your own, and do not run bulk scrapers or automated harvesters against this site, including scraping for the purpose of training machine learning models. Bulk automated collection is not permitted. If you want a big chunk of this material for something, ask me. I am extremely easy to talk to and the answer is usually yes.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site to break the law, do not attempt to interfere with or overload it, do not probe it for vulnerabilities without asking first, do not try to get around technical measures, and do not use anything here to harm somebody else's device or data. Do not misrepresent yourself as me or as affiliated with GardenFlouer.
If you do find a genuine security issue, please tell me instead of using it. I will thank you properly.
Links out and advertising
Pages here link to other sites, and this site carries advertising. I do not control third-party sites or the ads served on these pages, and a link or an ad is not an endorsement of what sits on the other end of it. What those third parties collect is covered by their own policies, and what happens on my end is spelled out on the privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
These terms can change as the site grows. The current version always lives on this page with its effective date at the top, and continuing to use the site after a change means the new version applies. If something material changes, I will say so plainly rather than hiding it in a subclause.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and any dispute arising out of them belongs in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of it still stands.
Contact
Questions about these terms, permission requests, corrections, or a rights concern all go to cattriviagames@gmail.com. There are more ways to reach me on the contact page, and the data side of things is on the privacy policy.
Now go back up a level and please, back up your save first.
